The Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCF) 24th Anniversary Awards Dinner, themed “Developing Minds … Delivering Dreams,” will be streamed live Monday, October 24 from The Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.  Proceeds from the event enable TMCF to continue its work as a critical link between students havinggreater access to higher education and the opportunity to develop into a new generation of global leaders.  The Awards Dinner celebrates the achievements of the country’s foremost visionaries who have used their status to positively impact the lives of students of public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

This years honoree’s include Russell Simmons (Chairman of Rush Communications), Jesse Calloway (VP and GM of Phillipe Morris USA), Rollin Ford (Executive VP and Chief Information Officer for Walmart stores), among other. R&B Songstress Marsha Ambrosius will be among perform live as part of the festivities.

Barbara Walters landed the first interview with Mariah Carey and Nick Husband since their twins were born almost six months ago. In a special airing on 20/20 this coming Friday, 10/21, Walters pays a visit to Mariah and Nick’s New York City home where they open up about their marriage, pregnancy and parenthood.

According to sources, Whitney Houston has officially been added to the cast of the Sparkle movie remake. Houston will play the mother of Sparkle, played by pop star Jordin Sparks.
